Who We Are
Located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville Centre of the Arts is designed to give aspiring dancers knowledge of professional dance. We seek to train students to become proficient in many dance different techniques.
Our mission is to create the opportunity to gain proper work ethic, discipline and techniques necessary for a successful dance student. The program is curriculum based. Classes consist of Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Stretch/Conditioning, Hip-Hop and West-African.

JCA OPEN ENROLLMENT
The ballet class introduces students to movement and helps to set a longtime foundation and a love for dance at an early age. Our ballet classes emphasize vocabulary and develop a working knowledge of positions, turns and alignment. Attention is placed on musicality, physical composition, intent and projection of movements. All students are encouraged to audition for local magnet schools and Nutcracker productions and should begin to explore more than one art area. Students learn to transform the scope of technical proficiency to convey and embody their desires, expression and technical style. Advanced female dancers be invited to go en pointe. They will increase their vocabulary, variations, multiple turns, extensions, leaps and lifts with advanced boys are emphasized.
